The Pineapple Plant

There are a lot of places to visit in this city, but every tourist who goes here has to drop by the pineapple plantation in Barangay Hibuwanon. The pineapples that are processed and cultivated in this complex, stretching to well over 200 hectares, is of such fine quality that it has been called the very best in the Philippines and is of export quality. When you visit this place you can see the actual processes and how it is prepared.

The Rainforests

A large part of the province is still unexplored and untouched by man, so it comes as no surprise that part of most tourists activities here include a trip to the rainforest. There are a lot to visit, but the most scenic ones are at Malagsum, Mahagnao and Danao. As you go through these areas, you will come across streams of waters, lakes and other natural delights.

Tongonan Hot Springs National Park

The Leyte Mountain Trek

This 40 km (25 miles) journey begins at the Mahagnao Volcano Park and goes all the way to the Danao Lake Park. It is a long trail, but the view of nature here, from the various types of trees, verdant greens, numerous waterfalls and free flowing rivers will leave you mesmerized and longing for more.

The Centennial Park

A day filled with trekking and hiking will eventually tire you out, and there is no better place to rest than at Ormocs Centennial Park. This place was built with comfort and leisure in mind, so if you go there you will find alongside the many benches, a lot of trees, greens and other elements that will truly make for a relaxing place to stay in or just while away the time.
