Buglasan Festival 2009 in Dumaguete will be held from 16-25 of October.
The main part will be in the Sidlakan Village but the whole City of Generator people will be in Festival Fever.

The highlight of the Buglasan Festival 2009 in Dumaguete will be the streetdance contest in the morning of Friday the 23 followed by the Bugalsan Parade through the road-construction sides of Dumaguete City in the afternoon of the same day.

Buglasan Festival 2010


The Buglasan Festival is celebrated every year during the centennial celebration of Negros Oriental as a province. This event showcases the different products, handicrafts, fresh produce, tradition, tourist spots and the people of each Negros Oriental town and city. It was once celebrated one time in December but now the This event was once held in the month of December but was moved back to its original schedule in the month of October.

The Buglasan Festival is a weeklong celebration, where you will see unique booths of every towns and cities in negros oriental, displaying variety of their products and tourist spots. There is also a lively parade contest participated by all towns and cities of Negros Oriental together with their uniquely decorated floats where they will do some street dancing beside it. There are also concerts, Festival King and Queen, banca races, dance contest, duett and quartett competitions, balak and balitw competitions, fireworks competitions and many more.
