I got a chance to see Cebu because the company I am working with sent me to organize an event. I stayed there for 1 week and it was a hectic and toxic one. I was assigned to make sure that everything is in place for the event including the attendance of the invitees. As usual whenever I’m on a business trip I take advantage of giving myself a chance to see the good places. I asked a hotel attendant whom I befriended to give me a list of suggested places to see in Cebu. So she took a paper and pen and jotted down the following.
Magellan’s Cross – Planted on April 21, 1521 by Magellan. The one shown in public is a replica the original is preserved encased in a hollow wood and it stands in the center of the pavilion.
Image of the Sto. Nino – The oldest religious relic in the country
Mactan Island – Beach to see the corals and famous for scuba diving
Moalboal - One of the first scuba diving spot in the country
Fort San Pedro – Oldest and smallest tri-bastion fort in the country and currently houses a national museum.
Taoist Temple – Beautiful Chinese temples
Well, my week was really hectic then so the only place I got to visit is the Taoist Temple. Though I did not see all the good places anyhow I enjoyed my stay especially my night outs and shopping at Colon Street. And also I got a chance to stay and got pampered one whole week at Waterfront Hotel.
