I love mambukal

About 30 minutes drive away from Bacolod City lies a picturesque mountain resort manged by the Provincial Government. The Mambukal Mountain Resort locate in the town of Murcia, Negros Occidental lies is 1,200 feet above sea level and serves as gateway to Mt. kanlaon

I really love this place a paradise to me, the place the temperature are very relaxing. Mambukal Resort is about a 45 minute drive from Bacolod City. It consists of beautifully landscaped grounds in which are set a swimming pool, picnic shelters, ponds, rental cottages, a Japanese bathhouse, a butterfly garden, and a food court. From Mambukal one can hike further up into the mountains to a series of waterfalls.

Things to do when you’re in mambukal:
To commune with nature, the resort has strategically located viewing decks and a Canopy Walk with hanging bridges. If relaxation is what you’re after, there’s the boating lagoon, swimming and dipping pool. You can likewise bring children along since they will surely enjoy the butterfly garden and the kiddie pool.

There are a series of waterfalls in the mountains above the resort. Perhaps there is a formal road or trail but our Mambukal guide took us on an informal route that wound steeply up, through mountain barrios, to the falls. The footing was slippery so I wished I had had boots rather than running shoes. Still, the hike was a high point of our trip, not so much for the falls but for the chance to see how life is lived in the mountain barrios. I dare you to come to this attractive and lovely place for you to discover and experience the secret of this paradise, and one of the most favorite destinations of local and foreign tourists.

Would you know if there are direct public transportation from the new Bacolod Airport to Mambukal? I came from NegOr when I went there before.
