| Hello All, I got a 6-month tourist visa before my departure to the Philippines. The visa however, says that my authorized stay is not to exceed 59 days. How I can stay in the Philippines continuously for the next 6 months? I have a multi-entry visa. Thanks, aroundtheway |

| Are you sure, that you got a 6 months tourist Visa ? I only know that in case you wish to stay longer than 21 days you have to obtain a a 59 days tourist visa. Later on it can be extended in blocks of 60 days for the maximum period of 16 months. I just took a look at the immigration website and found it confirmed.

| There is nothing like a 6 month Tourist Visa in the PI. The max is 59 days but can be extended actually up to 24 month (each extension will be 2 month). This extensions are relatively painless and done in 20 minutes (unless yuo choose Manila for your extension). However, after16 month the immigration ask you fax the application form to Manila and is waiting for approval that there is no bad record. That may take up to a week before you get your extension stamp. |
