you might have trouble with a one way ticket as a tourist without working visa or similar. It is simply the law that you need a ticket to leave the country whatever your intentions are.

you can buy any kind of throw away ticket for a few dollars, that is fine.

Kindly read this links Visas : Department of Foreign Affairs and Bureau of Immigration, Philippines - MAIN. This will answer all technical queries.

But pointers from Mr. Dane and Rhoody are both useful and practical.

Hope it'll help.

Default Simple Question

I want to stay for maybe 2 months in Philippines and I understand I can only get a 21 day visa on arrival but I can put that up to 59 later days later.

But if I get an air fair ticket to Philippines with a 2 months return date will the authorities at the airport give me hassle as my return ticket is for 2 months and not 21 days. What I mean is when i explain I want to stay for 2 months and have a two months return ticket and I intend to extend my visa to 59 days will they be OK with that

Thanks

if you have ANY ticket for leaving in the next 24 month after your arrival you wont have any problems.

Anyway, the PI don't care at all when you arrive here as long you bring money to the country.

The only problem you ever would have is the check in at your own country as the airline is responsible for bringing passengers legally to another country.

So to answer your question: No problem, you can get your visa-waiver (entrance-stamp to 59 days) at each immigration office.

cheers
