Question Best place for fruit at the end of February - March

Hello, name's Steven. I'm headed to Philippines on February 25th of 2012. I'll leave on March 8th. I've only got a few days. My plan as of now is to fly to Puerto Princesa. It seems like a good destination, but maybe you can tell me based on what I would like to do.

I am most interested in eating fruits and vegetables, and swimming. I do not like restaurants or bars or fancy things. I have never tried a Durian-- but it does not seem they are in season at the end of February. Could you please tell me what the best place in the Phillipines would be to relax, swim, and try the best variety of fruits, at a great price?

I can go anywhere. I was thinking Puerto Princesa because it is beautiful, but it seems like it's more of a seafood culture. THANK YOU for responding.

The fruits capital of the Philippines (not only for Durian (which by the way is available all year round -not only during season)) is DAVAO city..
Fruits are coming to Davao market from a large area of Mindanao: excellent growing conditions, soil etc.

I don't have much knowledge about that but it sounds really interesting place I think you should search on Google, and if I get any information about this I'll definitely share with you.
