Make a choice

Hello,

We are 3 friends going to the Philippines for the Chinese Spring Festival, arriving in Manila on the 19th evening and going back from Manila too, on the 29th evening..
We really want to use this 9 days to escape the crazyness of Beijing so we're looking for some amazing landscapes, beaches and crazy thinks to do...
We are now having a dilemma choosing between the famous Palawan and the less known Mindanao (but a french guy who is leaving there sell us as THE place to go)!! So we are listening to your advices!

Between the two I would recommend Palawan.
Mindanao is huge it depends where you want to go there.
For 10 days, the central Visayas with Cebu, Bohol, Dumaguete are also a brilliant option.

I can't really add another option..

I know Mindanao is huge... i heard we can find a lot of different things : beaches, nightlife, diving and so on.. as much as on Palawan.. But it's really hard to find information about this island. Which let me think that it's less known and somehow that appealed to me... ^^

The nightlife in Mindanao is other than Davao very limited. same with Palawan.

Palawan:Unless you are into wreck diving in Coron or go to Tubbataha Reef, diving is not really one of the top spots in the Philippines.

Mindanao: A few Spots around Davao or in the north around Camiguin, but also not really the Top-Spots of the PI.

I should say go to palawan. Nice beaches and diving spots there. You can stay 1 or 2 nights in manila for nightlife adventure.

palawan also is my bet, if you want island or something island outcast try zambales at pundakit

Palawan is really nice place.It is located in an island province southwest of Metro Manila, is revered as one of the Philippines' and Asia 's most haunting and final frontiers.
