I have heard alot about not being safe to walk around with your camera out in Manila that you will be robbed. Can you walk around Boracy with your camera out safely?

Should not have any problems in Boracay. actually I never had Problems in Manila either. There are just parts of the City you don't go, just like in any country in the world, if "rich"people offer too obvious, "poor" people take.

There are no serious security problems at Boracay. Anyway, dont leave your belongings unattended, especially on the beach. Always lock your hotel room and windows when you leave the resort. Use a safety deposit box or hotel safe for your valuables and documents. And, like everywhere in the world, be careful with extraordinary friendly strangers who approach you >> Korean robbed in Manila .. just my 2cents...

The most common danger in Boracay is the heat and sun , so drink lots of water to stay hydrated and wear sunblock if you have fair skin. A reminder that alcohol dehydrates the body, so drinking alcohol is no substitute for water! You should try to drink bottled water, as there was an outbreak of coliform in 1997 and is still sometimes prevalent, causing stomach cramps, diaorrhea and vomiting.
