Default Mer's Food And Delicacies

Whenever someone hears the city Digos is uttered, the only specialty product they are very known for are, delicacies. Delicacies that comes to mind are the puto and bibingka of Mer;s Delicacies.

Located at Lapu-lapu Street, just in front of the Digos Park. The humble beginnings of Mer's delicacies for decades simply radiate through their place. It might not be the most modern architectural structure you might expect as a well known restaurant but they house the most high end flavors of Filipino delicacies

On top of the list in their most saleable products are the following, Puto and Bibingla or rice cakes in coconut milk. Different kinds of suman or Rice rolls, Bico, Cassava Cake, Sunog-sunog and like.

For years now they have expanded their business through serving complete meals from breakfast to dinner. Their tapa or cured beef combinations are superb as well as other viands.

I was able to have my breakfast their early morning right after we arrived from a long trip from Davao City and I must say I was tamed by the flavors most especially the hot chocolate drink they prepared right through your eyes. Continuously stirred in clay pot the old fashioned way.

Mers for decades has proven itself worth every visit in Digos.

Hi there!

It's good to have somebody from Mindanao, who can share actual and updated inputs ........never been to Digos but was in Davao City and IGaCOS for a couple of times. When in Davao City, I really love to go out (anywhere within 5 hrs. land travel) but the negative impression I have from the media keeps me from doing so.

I know that relative to other parts of Mindanao, Davao City is safe. I remember that when I was in Zamboanga City, we went for a day "educational trip" to Basilan, it was not comfortable experience at all. Since then I promised myself to be more cautious when Im in the South.

From time to time, kindly provide advice on security and safety when traveling in Southern Mindanao for our online-community.

Welcome to PB!
