Hi There, Sounds like a nice place you got there. Can you pleace provide more information about amenities and prices there please? What do you mean independent divers? I have never tried diving before, but I would love to try some diving while I am on my vacation. But I guess if I never tried diving before then diving in Siquijor is not for me? Odie

Hi Odie, I hope, that the following announcement is not too much advertising! The clean, maintened Restaurant and it's Bar has western style with Bamboo furnitures and is always well stocked. The friendly, trained waitresses serve hot, and fresh, direct after the orders, prepared meals. Our toilets are not stinky or dirty; we always keep an eye on it! Our philippino food starts at 50 Pesos (Lomi Soup) up to the highest 600 Pesos (500g+ Beef Tenderloin Steak, if available). The mid range is normally at 150-200 Pesos per Head. SMB you can have for 30 Pesos, Red Horse, SM light, Super Dry, Strong Ice are also in stock. The only little disadvantage: we are located in the 3rd floor without elevator... About diving: there is a Discover Scuba Diving (DSD) program, which lets you try first, before you make the first course; for example the PADI Open Water Diver Course (OWD). The DSD can count forward and give you discount for the OWD. Myself is not possible to dive until the end of the year (health problems), but there are several serious and professional Divecenters on the Island, which will take care for you and I can recommend: Last Frontier Dive/Siquijor in Poblacion San Juan Sea Explorers in Coco Grove Beach Resort in Tubod, San Juan. There are two more possibilitys available;Kiwi Dive Resort (I don't really know them) and Siquijor Dive Safari. Last one I can NOT recommend due to several incidents!!! The independent Dives mean: no guide, no boat and other dive related services. Only available for experienced divers. So for sure nothing for you and other beginners under about 200 logged dives. As you can see: Siquijor is a MUST SEE, also for you! Tropical Greetings from Larena on Siquijor Island, the most mystic Island of the 7.107 philippine Islands! Scubaholly

Hi Odie What it is: exactly what our experienced divers are diving at home, in caves, in wrecks under ice and so on. Those sometimes dont need/want a guide or boat. We dont do, what 99% of the other Dive centers do; thats for our customers and me boring after a couple of years. Following dives guides which show the UW Environment like guides in the zoo, Restrictions from some Dive centers and/or Dive center managers. Why copying something, what almost ALL others are doing? Here again: our divers (it is anyhow not our mainbusiness) want to dive; when, where and how THEY like and NOT like how a Dive center decides. They can have a rented car from us or a driver with car and even explore new Dive sites. In addition they get our Scuba tanks, a box, weight and weight belt; far away under the prices of all the other operators (more than 50%, due to no almost no additional service from us). Our divers like to dive with their partner; almost every additional diver is too much for them. And why no boat? Because it is cost intensive and most of the dive sites have access from the beach... Our program runs in the Carribean (ABC Islands) since Sanctuarys and is safe and serious as well. The problem here is, that most of the other Dive centers follow or have to follow the standards of an american Dive education facility, which is good, but dont fits to all divers. These ones we give a chance to dive independant with our club. Like I said before: this is NOT for beginners (we check the Logbook, medical certificate, and dive certificate and make a check dive as well); it is for the experienced diver ONLY. Greetings, Scubaholly
