| While the pool at the house has been glorious the last week or so, I was looking though some old pics on the hard-drive and came across this picture from a trip out to Balicasag last year... ![]() I miss the beach! I think I need a trip soon... Peace, |

| Balicasag is right off of Bohol and is about an hour boat ride (at a leisurely pace) away from Alona Beach. It is a good day trip to go see the dolphins (and sometimes whales) then island hop. You can snorkel at Balicasag as there are many boats and equipment there for rental. It is an interesting island as it is government owned and run. Even the dive resort on the island is run by the Philippine government, specifically the tourism board. Balicasag Island in Bohol There are some amazing dive sites around the island but the one draw back is food as there is only one restaurant at the resort. If you like seafood there are some small shacks along the beach run by locals who will grill you up something. All in all, a very pleasant place to spend a couple days. Very VERY laid back. Peace, |
