Default Underwater Smallbird

I'd like to add a couple of underwater shots I had ....in my younger days

I recall that we were too excited and busy taking underwater pictures using a rented underwater camera , we were not aware that we are diving during an earthquake near its epicenter...... thus! water was unusually murky that day.

OOOPS!

Default Hello Mr. Administrator(s)

Good Morning!

Except for the murky water during that dive (loooooong ago) we haven't observed anything unusual. Yes! when PG scuba diving is in it's infancy.

Puerto Galera is known to have great underwater visibility and strong underwater current. This has been frequented by divers who opt to avoid the busy underwater of Anilao, Batangas which is considered as the most popular diving spot - a mecca for beginners- due to its proximity to Metro Manila.

smallbird, I was divign in a earthquake down here in Dumaguete.

I noticed that seconds before, all fish where suddenly gone. My dive-buddy and I looked at each other, not knowing whats going on. Than there was a kinda strange roaring.

When all was over the fishes were back and all normal again.

We did not know what it was until we came back to the Resort where they swept the broken glasses of the floor in the restaurant.

cheers

Rhoody

really?!

Perhaps that's reason why we don't have any fish in any of the picture taken on that particular dive. Animals including fish have extra sensory power to detect an upcoming earthquake or any natural disturbance.

now i know,
murky underwater + no fish = earthquake nearby

thanks
