Default Island Hopping in Honda Bay

Alternatively , one can avail of Honda (Hunda) Bay Island Hopping day-tour package for Php900/pax . It is offered in all local travel/tour agencies along Rizal Ave, Puerto Princesa or can be booked from your hotel too.

The trip includes; visit to 3 islands (Snake, Starfish and Pandan Islands) transportation to/from your hotel, boat rental, entrance fee to some islands, sumptuous lunch inclusive of bottled water and an English speaking guide (throughout the duration of the tour). Snorkels and booties may be rented before boarding the boat though tour guides sometimes bring their snorkel gears (for rent) too.

Wow! your trip must have been exhilarating.

Our guide told us that the trip used to include 4 islands but LULI (the supposed 4th island) is not always accepting guests, thus we only had 3 islands. Nevertheless, it was worth every peso, especially when lunch was served in Snake Island. It was seafood galore there were crabs, tiger prawns, grilled samarals, sauteed vegetables, fruits for dessert , we're even provided with bottled drinking water but I bought buco for cleansing , (buco or young coconut is sold in the island), it's worth trying if you haven't tried it yet just dont do it on an empty stomach.

YUM! suddenly I forgot my diet and switched to seefood diet, what i SEE i EAT, seefood diet.

Default Oh that boat!

Oh! you have a better shot , mine was a bit blurred

Anyway I think this "turtle boat" is part of a newly formed partnership of the Puerto Princesa government, Bantay Kalikasan - proactive local environmental NGO and other partners aiming for a sustainable development of Honda Bay as a prime tourist destination. I suppose the sea turtle (pawikan) is the 'project mascot'

Default Nice pictures

I would not mind camping out on the beach there for a few days.

Is there any form of accomodation on Snake Island?

Default ...you'll need to bring your tent

The last time I checked , there were no accommodations in Snake Island., Honda Bay. But I think, you can bring your gears and spend the night there.

By the way, El Nido (another beautiful town in Northern Palawan) also an island with the same name -Snake Island
