Quezon City Memorial Circle This place is a hub for athletic people and local martial artists. It's about 2 plus kilometers in circumference and hosts a lot of entertainment and leisure park areas. It has abundant greenery and trees, restaurants, bike lanes, basketball and volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic grounds, souvenir shops and others. At the center is a three-pillared monument towering over the memorial circle and seen from several points in the Diliman area. Underneath the tower is a museum dedicated to Manuel L. Quezon, the first Philippine Commonwealth president. Enjoy checking out antiquated equipments and weapons used by Quezon. There is even the hospital bed he used while being confined for the ailment he died of, the furnishings in his Malacanang office, and his huge marble grave.
How to get there? Just ask the cab driver to take you to Quezon Memorial Circle along the Elliptical Road. It's hard to miss it. |
