JT’s Manukan Manukan means chicken house thus JT’s main dishes are chicken. Their specialty is the Bacolod way of cooking the chicken or what we call chicken inasal (inasal is the Ilonggo word for grilled).
Sometimes I go here with my officemates whenever we wanted to eat heavy lunch. The restaurant has a smoking and non smoking area and has good parking spaces around. The chicken inasal they serve is grilled to perfection, the taste is very good and the meat is tender and well cooked. I never experienced here seeing chicken blood whenever I slice through the meat. Therefore this is an indication that the bird or chicken is well cooked.
I love their “pak-pak” or wings inasal. The meat is tender and tasty I can even taste it’s marinate up to the bones. My meal will not be complete without “atay” or liver inasal. I pair these two with plain rice and eat it with “sawsawan” or dip of calamsi, toyo and, crushed siling labuyo.
JT’s Manukan is located at Malugay Street in Makati. I think there is another JT’s branch somewhere in Ortigas. A trivia, JT stands for Joel Torre, yup the actor, and obviously he is the owner. |
