Nena’s Special Bibingka When I was in my Bibingka quest I went to Nena’s Bibingka restaurant for the obvious reason. So I picked up my best friend and we went there around 3.30 pm. When we arrived it was a good timing because they have eat-all-you-can “merienda” or snack, excellent! Of course we will not pass this opportunity most especially if it is priced below a hundred pesos. For seventy five pesos enjoy bottomless snack ^_^
Nena’s restaurant features Filipino food thus the snacks they have are local. Like tokwa’t baboy (tofu and pork), goto (rice porridge), lumpiang sariwa (fresh vegetable roll), dinuguan (pig blood stew), sopas (milk based pasta soup), and different sweet rice cakes like puto bungbung, casava, biko, suman, etc. But the bibingka that I was craving was not featured in the eat-all-you can feast. I wasn’t disappointed because I understand that bibingka is their specialty thus it shouldn’t be compromised by including it in the budget section.
Anyways, even if the other snacks are not their main product it was still all delicious. I got 2 servings of their dinuguan and I had 4 lumpiang sariwas. I’m not guilty anyway my bowl was small and the lumpias were small sizes.
Perhaps your parents knows about Nena’s Bibingka because this was established in the 50’s. And I remember my grandma takes me with her at Nena's to meet up her amigas (girlfriends).
If you are in Cubao commercial area this is along General Romulo Avenue. |
