Makati Cinema Square I used to work with a restaurant near Makati Cinema Square back in 1990. It’s quite amazing that it was nineteen years ago. Makati Cinema Square was a prime department store with good cinemas, bowling lanes and stores like Plaza Fair. They People consider Makati Cinema Square as one of their top choices when considering a place to shop, dine and watch movies.
A lot of things had changed since then. Makati Cinema Square still has several restaurants around the vicinity, but it already lost its luster. The cinema is gone as well as the fancy stores. Plaza Fair is still there but it is a gloomy place. The items they sold seem old and out dated.
The only reason it is probably standing is because of the condominium building on top of it.
Makati Cinema Place is now notorious for new sets of specialty shops. It is an open secret that pirated DVDs, CDs, computer games, PC installer and play station games are sold in almost all of the shops in the lower ground floor as well as in several shops located in the second floor.
The place was raided number of times by the Video Regulatory Board as I watched the news in TV, but still these shops will continue their business after a few days. |
