Café Bola This restaurant is what I may consider as a fusion of Pinoy and modern cooking. They also have a few Italian but it has a Pinoy twist. If you’ll translate this into English Café Bola is Balls Café. I think they decided to name their restaurant like this because they have Bolas or Balls that you can add to their pastas. Like seafood bola and meat bolas. I already tried dining at two Café Bola branches one at Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City and the other one is at Greenbelt, Makati. I think these are the only branches they have.
If you’ll be dining here the set-up of the place is of course focused on spheres or balls. If you are not particular about the ambiance then you’ll not be bothered with the dominant orange of the surroundings. But for me ambiance counts thus I think they should tone it down a little. The food I would say will depend on what you will order because some has gone overboard trying hard to put a twist and it has already compromised the taste. Though it is not perfect I still go here often to order my favorite, the Adobo Flakes with Kesong Puti and Kesong Puti Cheesecake. Once you try these you’ll come back again, like me. |
