Landmark - Makati

Makati is buzzing with many shopping malls and shops. The place is known for high end shops selling known global brands like in Glorietta, Greenbelt and Rustans.
I’m not sure which established first, SM or Greenbelt. Landmark, like SM, caters to the masses. But unlike SM, Landmark was not able to expand. Landmark has only one department store which is located in Makati.
Landmark is like those stores that makes you feel at home. The service is more personalized than that of SM wherein the salesladies hover around as if you’re going to steal something. It is easy to familiarize where to find whatever you want to buy as they do not move items around. Shoes, clothes, bags are still in their same location from the first time I visited the place more than ten years ago until now.
My favorite department is the shoes and clothes department. They have a huge selection of shoes and there are some brands not available in other stores, just like Julinette. I have four pairs of Julinette because their design is simple but sturdy.
Landmark also carries some apparel brand not available in other stores while some brand that are also in SM or Robinson have wider choices in Landmark, maybe because the tenant rental is much cheaper than the other department store.
Landmark is not as popular as SM but indeed they offer a familiar atmosphere that makes customers want to comeback.
