Post Araneta Coliseum

All hail to the biggest covered coliseum in Southeast Asia! Yes, this coliseum has earned that recognition because this indoor sport stadium has a diameter of 108 meters, covers a total land area of 40,000 square meters, its floor area is 2,300 square meters, and can accommodate up to 20,000 seats. This has been a famous venue for big sport events like boxing, basketball, and cockfighting. A famous event in the sports history was held in this coliseum that was the Ali-Frazier World Heavyweight Championship Fight or also known as “Thrilla in Manila”. Aside from sport this coliseum had been a venue for major events like beauty contests, showbiz awards nights, special shows, and concerts. Most organizers also choose Araneta Coliseum as the venue of their events an example would be religious activities.

Now Araneta Coliseum has improved its service and reach. They now have a website that advertises show or concert schedules which is a convenient way for its patrons to be aware on when to reserve for tickets. Also, there is now an added value for concert or show patrons. Around its skirt is an array of restaurants that caters to A to C markets. Choose from any of these restaurants to satisfy your cravings: (1) Volare for Italian, (2) Sachi for Japanese, (3) Rasa for Singaporean, (4) Gloria Maris for Chinese, for deserts (5) Dairy Queen and (6) Gonuts Donuts, (7) Starbucks for coffee, (8) Café Bola for modern dishes, (9) Dencio’s for Filipino big dinner, for boozing and live band (10) Padi’s point and (11) Club Serve.
