The Philippines' Laguna Hot Springs is an ideal destination for folks who just want to let off some steam. Local and non-local travellers can enjoy a fun filled day and night in one of the private resorts in Laguna.

One good thing about going to a country that sits along an earthquake belt a little right smack on the equator is that it has lots of hot springs tourists can go to. The hot springs of Laguna attests to the magnitude of its mountain’s eruption hundreds of years ago. Mt. Makiling, as many tourists would get to know was an active volcano many years ago. Although the dormant mountain silently keeps an eye at the university students moving about her foothills, local communities and international tourists could still relive its anger just by looking into the steam arising from its springs. Most of the time though, these hot springs, more commonly known as the Hot Springs of Pansol Laguna, are haven to both local and non-local tourist goers who just need to soak in warm mineral waters. It is a destination to behold when one can take a pick at one of the hundreds of private pools waiting for weary travelers.

The Laguna Hot Springs is a swimming destination especially during the summer months. Although soaking into hot pools are not the greatest idea during hot summer days, families, company employees and friends would pack their things and leave their cities and offices of Metro Manila to travel for two hours and get their skin soothed by the springs’ steams.

Tourists who trek in busloads would specifically want to submerge in almost boiling waters to get the most health benefits that old folks would attest to. In some pools, one could even request a local reflexologist to massage stiff muscles and clanky bones. A local guide was narrating that sometimes, the water would be so hot that pool owners would need to put blocks and blocks of ice just so the water could not scald swimmers. Other pool owners built their pools so that they can regulate how hot the clients want their tubs. There’s even a three star resort hotel that built a small pool inside the room so that honeymooners who chose the Philippines as after wedding destination would get as much private soaking as possible.

Another good thing about this favorite Philippine destination besides its close proximity to the capital is its affordability, and cleanliness. Unlike pools in other resorts where water is just eternally cleaned and filtered, pool owners can afford to fill up fresh spring waters to the pools after a batch of clients had their fill of hot spring madness. The travel home surely gives tourists a real fresh new energy to face work challenges once again.

Travel to the Philippines is a gamut of experiences. For those who hate winters and the cold season, it would be a good idea to visit this place near the equator.

Laguna is a beautiful place in Philippines. It is blessed with natural resources. It has dense forests which are rich in bamboo, rattan, and soft hardwood. Its vast forests are ideal for growing rice, coconuts, vegetables, tropical fruits, orchids and exotic plants. The Laguna De Bay is the largest lake in the country. It is so appealing and peaceful for visitors.
