Gateway Mall Cinemas

For those who are in the Cubao vicinity like Projects 2, 3, and 4, Kamias and Santolan then Araneta Center is perhaps the nearest commercial area in your location. Currently there are lots of developments happening in Cubao Araneta Center. The old SM and Ali mall are being renovated. Condominiums and offices are starting to build up. And now due to several call centers in the area this location has became busy 24 hours a day.

One of my favorites in Araneta Center is the Gateway Mall Cinema. They have a total of 9 regular cinemas that are all well maintained and have cozy chairs. All the screens are good digital quality and the sound system is impressive. The movie schedules and prices are posted on wide LCD screens thus it prevents people hovering in the queue area (irritating for me). Upon purchase of your ticket you can reserve where you want to seat. That’s fair enough, I don’t like the style of some cinemas wherein I buy ticket and I need to hurry to go in so that I get the seat of my preference. I also need to mention that their snack bar is great and if in case you miss to buy something their crew is there selling inside before the movie begins.

I have mentioned 9 regular cinemas, but actually they have 10. The 10th one is the platinum cinema. Ticket here is double the price of the regular ones but you’ll be enjoying the movie sitting on a lazy boy and drinking bottomless iced tea.
