Malvar Supermarket

Before the ‘90s, everybody goes to the traditional market to buy whatever they need in the house. This is true to most provinces and Cavite is not different. All these have changed in the entrance of supermarket.
Malvar Supermarket is located in Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite. They opened in mid or late 1990s. The said supermarket started small and slowly expands over the years. They only sell groceries in the first few years then later branched out in selling plastic ware, small appliances and other novelties.
Malvar is relatively small in comparison with SM supermarkets, but they designed the supermarket in such way that shoppers will find it easy to locate what they want to buy. Isles are properly labeled and items of the same category can be found in just one place.
I have a very fond memory with Malvar Supermarket. I don’t usually win on raffle draws. About a year ago, I accompanied my mother to the supermarket. There was an on-going raffle at that time and I wrote my name in those tickets.
I am very surprise when I received a text message that I won one of five major prizes which is an entertainment showcase consisting of 21” Panasonic flat TV and a Panasonic DVD player. I initially thought that the text message was a hoax. I check it out and was able to authenticate the text message.
Malvar Supermarket opened their second supermarket in Molino, Bacoor in Cavite.
