| Morong, Bataan Beach shores I think is not yet a famous tourist spot. Maybe because many haven’t read or heard about this due to the reason that this location is not yet marketed because it lacks commercial outlets. I had a 2 day family outing in Morong, Bataan last year. We left Metro Manila 3am in the morning and we reached the place by 8am. So that was a 5 hours drive Manila to Morong. On our way there we already stashed our water jugs and Igloo chest with water, ice, and food. My father told me that when we reach Morong, the stores would not be easily reached and items there are expensive. So we all heed his advice and aside from the basics we also bought other items that we think we might need when we are in the beach house. When we arrived at Morong what I first noticed is that the place was so quiet and my father was correct. I did not see any stores. Along the shores are beach houses some are private and some are for rent. The beach house we stayed in is owned by a family friend. I would say that the house will suffice our needs. It has 2 air-conditioned bedrooms, a kitchen where we can cook, a television, good bathrooms, and a caretaker to help us clean-up. Our friend also accept rentals, the beach house can accommodated 15 guests. Contact me if you are interested. I started to scout the beach shores and from afar I can see that there was a television shooting going on the nearby shore. I asked the caretaker what was going on he told me that was GMA7 taping summer episode of Mixed Nuts (a comedy show). After telling me that, I knew the reason why GMA7 chose Morong as their location. First the beach is very beautiful, second the sand may not be as white as Bora but it is really fine and clean, and third the place is quiet thus the crew can manage their set and shooting within schedule because less worry on attracting on-lookers and bystanders while doing the taping. Having mentioned that a TV network chose this as a location to tape a show is a testimonial that Morong, Bataan is a beauty. Actually I would say it is still virgin because when we were swimming the fishes were also swimming with us even on the shallow waters. I attached a few shots in this thread so you can also appreciate its beauty. I hope that in the future this location can also be included in the list of tourist destinations in The Philippines. |
