Default Malen Restaurant

Cavite is truly historical as represented as one of the eight rays in the Philippine flag. Caviteños are quite proud of its heritage and will honor the brave Cavite heroes whenever and wherever possible. Malen Restaurant in Noveleta, Cavite is a living testament of that. One will initially wonder why a bit pricy restaurant was erected in that area in Noveleta where people traffic is slow. It’s even facing a vacant lot full of grass. I believed that they are making a statement, the restaurant was built in wood with the combination of capiz, giving the place an ambiance of Hispanic era. Visiting Malen restaurant is just like entering a museum. Pictures from Spanish, Japanese and martial law hanged in the wall, of course in black and white. We actually look at each picture just like you will normally do in a museum.

Even the menu is quite unique, the food are named “pagkain ng katipunero” and the likes. It seems like we eat the food of heroes and share it with them.

The ceiling centerpiece is a real work of art. It is a circle-like big chandelier.
I visited the place number of times with my family. Many of the patrons are families as well.
