I absolutely agree, I also prefer riding 15-30 minutes stinky roads inhaling the fresh air behind hundreds of jeepneys and trikes instead of a 4 minute walk.

saves me 3,5 peso on cigarettes I would smoke without that direct fume-inhalation.

My wife and I live close to Magalang and find using the Magalang-Angeles Road, Marquee Mall is easier to get to than SM or others further inside the Angeles area. To me, although Marquee has a few vacant shops, it is still far better and more enjoyable that the others. Guess it's just a personal choice but to us it has become our 2nd home almost.

actually i thought marquee's a pretty good mall. kinda similar to some of the malls in manila.
