Kainan sa Balsa

Kainan sa Balsa is a restaurant located in Binakayan, Kawit, Cavite. Balsa is a wooden raft. A nipa hut with seats was built in the wooden raft. The raft is moving slowly while you’re in it. There are about ten to fifteen balsas floating in water surrounded by trees. The wind is cool and a bit strong that make it a good place to eat and rest.
The restaurant offers grilled and other Filipino food. We normally order grilled pusit, bulalo and pork chop. The food is simple but delicious. The price is quite affordable and easy on your pocket. The service is fast and the crew are courteous.
I don’t really know when Kainan sa Balsa started, it was just there when we started living in the area.
The place is frequently visited by family, friends, lovers and even office colleagues. The place is quite serene.You can rent a fishing pole and try your hand at fishing. You will pay for what you fish and they will cook it for you. I’ve been there a number of times and really enjoy the experience everytime.
The place is extra beautiful at night with the lights adorning the nipa hut.
