| Got a slack in your itinerary? Are you in Metro Manila? How does a day-tour in a coconut plantation with matching Philippine cultural show, carabao driven carriage tour around the rural village and chapel, museum tour and coconut harvesting demonstration sound like? The day tour package also comes with Filipino buffet lunch in a native setting with man-made waterfalls (also serves as mini hydro electric power plant) as a backdrop while the guest's feet are immersed in the shallow stream of overflowing water that goes back to the river where one can also try rafting using a traditional bamboo raft. Nice?! Then go to Villa Escudero in San Pablo City,Laguna. Take a public bus going to Lucena (or Bicol) and instruct the conductor to take you to its gate (right after the welcome arch of Tiaong, Quezon) transfer can be arranged before hand but a walk to the actual resort is a good form of exercise. They have overnight accommodations too. Give it a try and witness some aspects of true Filipino culture. Attached photos belong to VILLA HOME Last edited by smallbird; June 26th, 2009 at 09:28 PM. |

| Rafting looks like a lot of fun, I bet you get wet though Would not be a big issue in a warm tropical country but still if you have a long day of sightseeing in front of you it might not be a good idea. Thanks for sharing, I am getting excited about my trip later this year. Odie |
