| Living in the Philippines has its challenges and one of these which is more challenging than any other is driving here. Angeles City is one of the worst I've seen and I've been on many islands. Dumaguette was hard because of all the scooters however, Angeles just seems one of the most chaotic and rude I've ever seen. Anyway, with traffic getting very bad in the city, City Hall is trying to re-route some traffic making it easier to get around. One of these methods is to make a main street right off MacArthur Highway one way. It was supposed to start last month but I thought they delayed it. But starting today, Gueco Street is now one way. Gueco leads towards City Hall and the new mall Marquee Mall. Although it is one way heading towards MacArthur, not towards City Hall which is strange... Well, we will see if this actually improves traffic or it is a complete cluster f***. Heading towards Fields will be easier now, however I'm just worried about getting home! Thank God I don't live on one of the side streets which now is a main throughway. Time will tell... Peace, - Jung<center> |

| Well, it seems that the one way is not 24 hours. It looks to be from 7am through 7pm or so. Went out last night and driving towards Fields at about 8 or 9pm the road was two way however upon coming home this morning (around 8 am, don't ask...) and it was once again one way only. Jury still out if this is a good or bad thing... Peace, - Jung |
