Wink Boholano Dialect

I was born in Bohol in 1952.But until now I could not speak their dialect, why?there is no Boholano language. Boholanos are using the Sugbuhanon language. What makes it funny they speak it differently than most Cebuanos.
Because I could not speak the dialect in our classes, others ostracize me, so I use English and Cebuano at grade schools. I could not claim as a native of the island because I could not speak the dialect. So when I introduced myself to strangers I would introduce as a native from Cebu.
My paternal grandparents, although born in Maribojoc, speak Cebuano at home because they grew in Cebu. My late father writes Sugbuhanon stage plays and sing Sugbuhanon songs not Boholano. The only Boholano in our family was my late mother, who mastered the dialect. But we all understand her communications because they were really Sugbuhanon, spoken with accent.
