Ocean Park Celebrares RP Freedom Day

Starting today, June 12, Manila Ocean Park celebrates Philippine independence day with band shows. The sea theme park is located behind the Quirino grandstand in Manila. It is a stone-throw from Km 00 at the Luneta Park.
I have been there once. Of course few of the marine creatures were new to me. But most I have seen them in my travels throughout the country.
I had even hugged a wounded dolphin on a Batangas foreshore on a company outing. I have seen flying manta rays in sea off Mindoro. The other creature could be seen in public markets--even dophins were openly sold in some Mindanao cities then. I don't know at present.
The other creatures could be found in household aquarium.
So there's not much to see. The creatures inside the huge aquarium appear big because of the thickness of the mirror or plastic enclosing the fish. The fish there are trained to eat dead creature unlike in the open sea where big fish only eats alive and kicking other fish.
Better spend you money at the Enchanted Kingdom to get some thrill from the rushing artifical river full of waterfalls in Santa Rosa, Laguna. But, still try the Manila Ocean Park since they have now hotels, restos, pools where you can communicate with marine creatures.
