Info required

My filipino wife and I are looking to retire to the philippines quite soon, and I would like some information from maybe an english ex pat, as to the formalities that you need to go through....ie visa, plus anything else that is required or needed.

I would ideally like a northern location, somewhere quiet, but with easy access facilities and close to the sea.
