Hello from Palaboy

Hey there,

Palaboy on board. Been around Manila, Rizal, and a great deal of Bicolandia. I share roots from both the Philippines' north (Ilocos) and south (Cebu). I'm married and my wife's from Dipolog City.

One neat trick I get to do whenever I have a chance to roam around is to learn the local dialect (or at least some of the basics). I currently know how to speak Ilocano, Visaya, Bicol Naga, Iraya, Bicol Legazpi, Rinconada, and English (of course). (told you guys I've been around). Knowing the local dialect strikes quite well with the locals (and you get discounts and freebies too since they admire even your effort to speak their language - Filipino custom I guess).

I'm married and our first baby just came into our lives three months ago. Here's a bunch of pictures of me and my wife and our little daughter:

Hope to hear about your travels. Me? I have been to most parts of the archipelago and speak several languages--Cebuano, Tagalog, Waray, Chavacano, Spanish, others.

I was in Dipolog earlier this year, I stayed at Dakak for 5 days - I got sick as a dog so I didnt see much and I certainly didnt climb the 3000+ stairs up to the viewpoint...

I guess I have to come back there...
