Talking Food in the Philippines

I know Thai food, we got a lot of Thai restaurants all around the city I live in, but I really don't think I have ever seen a Philippines restaurant anywhere else in the world.

How come? Is the food too close related to another country?

Is the food not good enough or too "special" to become popular outside of the Philippines.

Do I need to bring a lunchbox from home? or can I find food I can eat in the Philippines?

There is good local Food in the Philippines and some dishes are really delicious. You won't have troubles finding good and enough food. I can't say that Pinoy-food is comparable to any other country.

Eating is one essential part in each locals life. By the way, you haven't been to the Philippines if you did not try Balut ...

cheers

Default Philippine restaurant

I have been in and out of the US and so far of all the state that i have visited there is always a place what they called "filipino store", here you can find filipino resto, shops, bakery, grocery etc. I'm not being biased coz i am a filipino but i think we have a lot of mouth-watering foods to offer you should give it a try, you'll see there are some foods that are similar to Thai dishes, and oh, Thai cuisines are great too, one of my favorite resto in Los Angeles is a Thai restaurant called "Sanam Luang" they serve great foods! (chicken sate) yuum... But try also our grilled "chicken gizzard" and those other street foods or should i say "exotic foods" really interesting =)..

Have a good one..
