Victoria Plaza

Victoria plaza Located J. P. Laurel street, Bajada Davao City has made a spot in Davao Maps for years.

It has two story of wide space both for department and commercial stalls. nOn first floor you can find the grocery, male clothing line, beauty accessories, musical instruments and sports wear.

On second floor you can pace and shop on female clothing line and children’s wear while on the top floor of the department store are the school supplies, house and kitchen wear department. The surrounding perimeter has different kinds of commerce from general merchandise to offices like water district.

Ever since I was a child I could remember their big cinemas where we often had our family bonding. As I child growing up with Victoria then I would never forget their pool with fountains where we used to throw coins as is was said to be a wishing pool…funny I did so.

Today the fountain was removed and renovated to an atrium thus more space for “tiangge” style of selling products. Tiangge mefor me means small and cheap group of stalls rolled into one. They still preserve the carousel ride for the children but I missed the ferry’s wheel. It was an amusement park for me when I was a kid. I enjoyed every bit of Victoria upto this day here things changed and a few remained sweet originals.
