Thumbs up 24th Kadayawan Festival

This festive month of August, brace up yourself for another spectacular event to happen in the City of Davao as we Davaoenos celebrate the 24th Kadayawan Festival.

This year's theme is “Nahiusang Katawhan Nakigdait sa Kalibutan” (“One People in Communion with the Earth”). It has two main components:
(1) Lumadnong Kasaulogan (Indigenous Peoples Festival) - the core of the Kadayawan Festival showcasing our indigenous peoples’ culture and arts.
(2) Subay sa Lumadnong Kagikan (Contemporary Indigenous-motivated Celebrations) - showcases the impact of the indigenous culture and traditions to contemporary artists and communities.

Be in Davao and celebrate with us for a week’s activity beginning August 16 – 23.

Parade highlights will be on the 22nd as the “indak-indak sa Kadalanan” or street dance will grace the main streets of Davao. Where dancers cheerfully sweep the paved roads in multi-colored dress amidst the heat of the sun.

And the much awaited floral float parade will be on the 23rd. Showcasing Davao's queen of flowers, waling-waling, and other rare exotic kinds that can only be found in Davao.

Fruits at these times are sold at very low prices, rare potted plants are displayed for sale and hotels give fabulous discounts.

Experience the fun, enjoy the food and join our festivity as we give thanks for the bountiful harvests we had.

Join the fun, as there will be a lot of activities in store for our dear guests and locals alike.

See you there!
