China town in DAvao China town? Oh we already got a great one here in Davao. Located along Uyanguren Street in Davao City. The portals of China town are welcomed by Chinese temple inspired arcs located at corner J.P. Laurel Street and Claveria Street and the other one corner Uyanguren street and Magsaysay .
China Town compared to Ongpin of Manila is far more different. It is more of a business setting and they are other Mongolians here like Taiwanese and Koreans… They are mixed of races but with legal purpose and drive.
The locals of Davao started to label mainly Uyanguren Street as China town looking back a few years, when foreigners not exclusive Chinese were very successful in putting up general merchandise store.
It was then that they started to make fuzz in Davao with their highlighted very cheap and unique products. You can find everything under the sun in numerous stores. I really enjoyWindow shopping there most especially when I don’t have any idea what I am looking for but there is a down side too. I must bring extra money too. It’ll kill me thinking I would not be able to buy the one I liked especially when I assume there is no more next time or next same stock that would come. It simply spells the word LOSS |
