| To become a driver is one of my dreams as a female. To be able drive cars alone and get to a place using my own car but I never keep in mind then the responsibility it will imply too. As an everyday passenger of public utility jeepney and private cars as well, I have learned to observe and appreciate the following which kept me wondering at all times; if other cities implement the same thing? Wearing of seatbelts has become a habit for every driver in Davao and some passenger like my mom, whenever seated in front seat. I got the habit of doing that, sometimes I quite forget it. If I ride other private cars, they might misconstrued me the negative way around, hmmm I hope not. Crossing the street can never be challenging when we are racing with metal vehicles. Pedestrian lanes or stripes of yellow or white can be easily spotted on salient areas. Foot bridges or over pass are very useful though to the people. I am always impressed by the traffic management center of Davao. They never missed to assigned people on schools to aid small children in crossing streets as well as in busy loading and unloading areas of Davao City. Traffic in Davao city is well maintained, we might have long and busy days too but we will always have an organized one. |
