| If you’re a first time Durian eater, there’s a lot you’ve got to consider. First, you’ve got to know the variety of Durian to eat. Second, how will you be able to give in to the foul smell of the fruit and eventually digest it in your stomach? And lastly, when will be your next trip to the durian fruit stand? Eventually, you’ve got to know the variety of durian you will dig in. Should you prefer the bitter-sweet native durian? Or go for the high-breed type Arancillo, Puyat or Cob. You can also have the taste of GD69, Basketball, Chanee and Doyaya if you prefer the creamy and less odorous ones. Well after choosing the Durian of your preference, have the vendor cut it according to its chamber. Actually, there’s a secret on how it’s been done. But for neophytes like you, better have it done by the pro. Now that you’ve got the full view of the tempting flesh of the fruit, decide which part you’d like to have a bite. Well, just a piece of advice, choose the one in the middle that looks so yummy and pulpy. However before you pinch into the aromatic fruit, be sure you’ve washed your hands properly. Then pinch the fruit with your right hand while the left is on your nose. Quite easy isn’t it? Slowly, place the tiny meat into your tongue and have a quick gulp of your softdrinks. Viola, you didn’t even taste the fruit! You see, cold softdrinks goes better with it. Then take another pinch until such time you’re no longer pinching your nose or the fruit. After eating, if the foul smell of the fruit doesn’t come off your hand, wash it with running water and durian seed as soap. Truly amazing, you won’t believe the miracle it brings. Nevertheless, don’t eat too much of durian meat because it can cause you heartburn or leads you to high blood pressure attack. Some would even claim that they feel burning hot inside after eating the fruit. But that’s okay, I guess. And oh, did I mention that it’s aphrodisiac? |
