| While in Digos city the heart of south Mindanao stop over. Prangels pastries and restaurant gained recognition through quality home cooked pastries. Located in Magsasay Avenue just around the corner of Magsaysay Central Elementary school you can find this pastry specialty place. This restaurant/bakeshoppe is about 10 years old and has proven its name in the market. They started out as a bakery with Macapuno Bread that captured the hearts of the customers as their specialty. In few years time their popularity was joined by Jelly roll. I am big fan of the above mentioned must haves, jelly roll and macapuno bread. In Macapuno bread the, the dough of bread is per se is perfectly mixed, moreover the Macapuno filling is always just right in Buko consistency and sweetness. The Jelly roll per se aside from cheap price gained its popularity through very sumptuous roll of bread; you can taste the richness of milk and eggs and perfectly baked. The jelly filling is always blended just right to compliment the great roll of cake. Through the years it has managed to strengthen their name through more mouth watering cakes, short orders and other unique variety of pastries. Few of my favorite from my other’s list are the Halo-halo and Buko Tart. They also offer short orders like Pancit, and the usual Filipino meriendas as well as wide array of more bread and pastries. Once you’ve taseted the venom of Prangels you will surely coming back for more. |
