| Two Koreans died while one was seriously injured in a parasailing accident on Friday in this resort island. PO3 Recie Bulanon said the Koreans were parasailing when strong winds and rains struck them around 11 a.m. Bulanon said Sung Ji An (female), 25, is in a critical condition in an undisclosed hospital in Iloilo. Those who died were Kim Sang Wou (male), 25, and Jong Mi Kyoung (female), 23. They were rescued by the staff of Jals Sea Sports, a Korean establishment where they rented the parasailing equipment. Last August 4, Korean national Lee Woon Hyung, owner of the Isla Bora Hotel and stockholder of the Boracay Water World, Inc., also died in a parasailing accident after strong winds slammed him to a coconut tree. In July, a motor banca from Boracay carrying 20 laborers and a female Korean capsized at sea due to a twister. These incidents are reportedly the result of the erratic weather due to climate change. Department of Environment and Natural Resources Regional Technical Director for Research Dr. Alicia Lustica said stakeholders, residents and the government must now seriously consider the reality of the climate change issue to prevent accidents in this island. Get a comment about your choice from your resort. How long are they in business ? How is their reputation ? How is the first impression ? And .. no risk when you are not sure about the weather condition. There is a good weather forecast, for example also for Boracay, at accuweather.com.

| condolences to the families. I am not sure if climate change and global warming can be hold responsible for parasailing accidents... or is it more the fault of not qualified/trained operators, lousy equipment, lacking common sense (like doing that kind of stuff in strong wind and rain)... |

| Yes, I fully agree to Rhoody. And .. some visitors are not aware about their risks .. Yesterday was bad weather, rain and high waves .. but some tourists dont care and swim even close to the rocks: Quote:
