My company requested me to go out of town for a business trip last June 2009. This business trip was not the usual boring work because they sent me to Boracay to simply hand carry reports. After doing my easy assignment I had nothing else to do but to have fun and bask under the sun. So after my task I strolled at station 2 and looked for something to do. Whilst walking, I was trying to decide what package to choose from an array of activities the Bora locals are offering. One had caught my interest and this is the Boracay Marine Walk. I accepted the offer by first signing the waiver and insurance agreement with the organizers. A clause in the document mentioned that I should not ride an airplane within the next 6 hours after engaging in this activity. The organizer explained to me that the underwater pressure and the airplane pressure might mess up my normal body pressure. So I was hesitant at first but he assured me that it is safe and even a 4-year old child can manage it. After the paper works we rode a boat and went to the marine walk area. When we reached the spot they briefed me about underwater safety measures. After the briefing, I am ready to sink and they let me wear the helmet that has a hose connected to a tank that will enable me to breathe underwater. I was nervous while submerging myself and gradually going deeper until I reach 20 feet under. When my feet touched the sea floor I was able to conquer my fear and my emotions shifted to amazement. It was like I am in a different world, walking with the fishes, having a closer look at the corals, and touching sand and rocks underwater. I paid 1,000 pesos for a 30-minute marine walk experience, packaged with a CD of souvenir pictures. Definitely this experience is unforgettable and my pictures are all priceless. A must try when you go to Boracay

I would not do it, unless they guarantee me also 2 lovely mermaids the real reason is, that I am Scuba instructor in your lovely country and prefer the "unattached"peaceful underwater-world. I am sure for non-divers it will be a great experience. cheers Rhoody

I agree, that it would be a great experience for non-divers with extra cash. But I would rather suggest an introductory (fun) dive over this activity. Sorry...Another no vote (from a diver) here , but if they'll give the thousand, I might reconsider. Welcome to PB Ms. Gemma Star!

| I looks like fun .. but is it also eco friendly ? When it will damage the environment, i.E. the corals, I will not do it .. even it looks interesting. Another issue is safety. And a depth of 20 feet is much .. I will never take a non swimmer or even a child 20 feet deep. It can also be a deadly trap.

Thanks for welcoming me here in PB. @Roody and Smallbird – Are you both divers? You guys have a point, I am not a diver thus this was a real adventure for me. @OceanBreezeInn – Perhaps it is eco friendly because I believe Bora is also keen on preserving its natural beauty. I say safe because I’m still alive hahaha Nice videos too. @The Dane – You are welcome.
