Fire hits store in Boracay

While everybody was busy making noise and joyfully welcoming the New Year on Boracay Island, an establishment in Boracay Station 3 was reportedly hit by fire early Friday morning.

According to initial investigation, the fire started when a firecracker landed on the roof of the store selling plastic garments during one of the fireworks displays for the New Year celebration at around 12:30 a.m..

The blaze, which reached first alarm, was declared fire out after 15 minutes.

There were no reports of either injuries or fatalities.

The estimated cost of damage ranges from P50,000 to P100,000.
