Hello,
I was in Bohol for the second time, and 5 weeks a go and stay in a hotel near to Alona beach.

I was surprised that the "white" beach of Alona is dirty of seagrass and garbage.
While walking along the beach it was a mesh at some places and i think they never cleanup the beach. very pity for a beach like Alona, with nice restaurants, and small shops.

Gentle,
you are right up to a certain point.
There are times of the year where one can't do anything against the seagrass due to currents. A lot of stuff gets washed on the beach, that happens also in Boracay a few month of the year.

I stood last time at Lost Horizon and they had 2 guys cleaning the beach the whole day in front of the resort. Sadly I recognized multiple-times the environmental unawareness of many locals and some tourists, dropping their rubbish wherever they walk

cheers

Rhoody
