Bohol Bee Farm in Dauis, Bohol Do you want to try something different on your trip to Panglao, Bohol? Then try visiting, dining or staying at Bohol Bee Farm, it is located in a limestone cliff in Brgy. Dao, Dauis,Pamilacan Island (dolphin watching site) is just in the the horizon. The Farm (turned B&B) advocates pro-environment activities like organic farming, organic composting and a few handicrafts making. The farm only serve their own fresh organically grown vegetables, freshly baked breads, fish from the nearby marine waters not to forget, the eyebrow raising fresh flower salad ( Imagine eating fresh orchid petals and bougainvillea…done that!) Even a tall glass of home grown citrus drink has floating greens in it (I didn’t bother to ask, what’s on my drink). Not to be discouraged, the menu isn’t exclusively vegan. After the sumptuous lunch, a tour of the farm follows which includes crash course in demonstration of raffia, basket and furniture making. The balikbayan owner, gave us a short demonstration on how to determine whether you purchased a bottle of honey or you just been ripped off. They have a souvenir shop in the farm that also sells their produce ranging from jams, jellies, fresh breads, weaved products like bags, mats and of course the purest honey, same products can be bought in their store outlet/cafe ( i think it's called the buzz?) in Island City Mall, Tagbilaran City The Farm can be reached by metered taxi (normally charges double for all points of Panglao), tricycle ( Philippine’s tuktuk), habal-habal (single motorcycle that loads passenger to the rim!). Always haggle for a good fare but the Farm offers a free shuttle ride from/to pier/airport, if notified in advance.
