![]() Located on the opposite side of the island which is most visited, Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa is closer to the famous caves on Panglao Island instead of the sometimes over-populated Alona Beach. In fact, you will pass the entrance to Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa on the way to Bohol's most famous spelunking spot, Hinagdanan Cave. When I last visited Bohol it was upon traveling to Hinagdanan Cave that I indeed saw the entrance to Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa and was curious to see inside. ![]() Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa is a bit out of my price range to stay there as a hotel guest. Not that I couldn't afford it, I just have always felt guilty and used when paying that much for a hotel room I don't plan on staying in longer than to sleep a few hours and change clothes before exploring whatever destination I find myself in. However, I do enjoy resort hopping and Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa is well worth a visit as they serve up some very tasty food along with some pleasant diversions which made me almost want to stay there... almost. ![]() I think had I actually chosen Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa as my lodging option when I went to Bohol, I would have found it difficult to leave the premises as it truly is a beautiful location and a full service resort. Everything you could possibly want, including their own private cave, is located there and some of the best facilities I've seen in Bohol. Their infinity pools alone are breath taking and when I did resort hop I spent more than my fair share of time lounging around and enjoying the relaxing atmosphere and brilliant views. ![]() To get into Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa I had to pay a 500 pesos, per head, 'cover charge' although this was consumable so we had a very extravagant and nice lunch in their restaurant. The food was very good, and needless to say the service was outstanding. My girlfriend said that her prawns were one of the best meals she had the entire trip in Bohol. ![]() Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa also have, beyond the great pools, their own man made island which is withing swimming distance of their private beach. This was a nice little area to visit and afforded some great views, relaxation and fun. Another great thing about Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa is that they are on the side of the island which gets the beautiful sunsets. I have always thought that the one drawback of Alona Beach is this failing. Sure, you get some nice sun rises on that side of the island, but I am rarely up early enough, minus the few days I went island hopping, to appreciate a sunrise. Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa got the sunsets which are always a plus in my book. All in all if you are looking for a full service resort for some rest and relaxation I would highly recommend Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa as it is simply beautiful and well worth a visit. I did not take advantage of the spa part of their name, but it is on my bucket list for my next visit to Bohol. By the way, I do not work for this resort in any capacity nor do I get any compensation for the recommendation, I just like nice resorts and wanted to pass on their excellent services to anyone interested. ![]() You can visit them online at: Panglao Island.
