Talking BBQ Lapu Lapu on Alona Beach in Panglao Island

When my parents came over to visit mere here in the Philippines I had to bring them down to Bohol to see the local sights here and to sample some delicious fresh seafood.

This lapu lapu was huge, I believe it was around 4 kilos - and I think we paid P1500 for the whole thing.

The small BBQ Alley on Alona Beach is definately a hot spot for me when it comes to good fresh seafood here int he Philippines.

Certainly a place to get nice and fresh seafood.

My other partner just spent 2 weeks doing research in Bohol for another project, so I am sure he will post a nice full trip report soon.

Anyone believe in reincarnation?

That looks like a large version of the fish I ate in May 2007.

I enjoyed Alona Beach and prefer it over Boracay due to it being less crowded. I looked forward to eating the BBQ every night.

The whole atmosphere on Alona Beach at night is just amazing. I too was looking forward to standing there in front pf the big table of chilled seafood trying to decide which items would go on the BBQ for the night
