The commission cannot legislate a language for the Filipinos. A national language should be acceptable, not only by the majority, but most of the population. Less than half of the population speak Tagalog, thus Tagalog could not be made a national language. The commission has to study deeply that words acceptable to most. If it could not produce the words for a particular time frame, they should better forget about it. Better adopt English as a national language.
