Actually, the banners and signs out at Cagayan de Oro airport refer to CDO as "THE CITY OF GOLDEN FRIENDSHIP", but that could be merely an advertising slogan, especially if the abundance of pickpockets, beggars and loose women are not encountered downtown far away from adventure and tourist activities elsewhere.
